Teaching students leadership principles through the life of Jesus, and providing them with opportunities to practice them in real-life ministry.
The Student Leadership Team is a team of students who are actively pursuing Christ and want to learn and practice servant leadership. The Solid Rock Youth Ministry Staff will help students to develop leadership skills and provide opportunities to use their skills and gifts. We will meet on the Sundays listed below from 7:30 - 8:30 PM. We will use these monthly meetings to study leadership and plan within our ministry teams for upcoming events and services. Staff will also meet with students in groups outside of church to further this discipleship experience.

Participation Expectations
Attendance is essential to getting the most out of the whole experience. Therefore, we have two expectations associated with participating.
Consistent participation in Carrollton First UMC Worship Service and at least one or both of our weekly youth worship meetings: Sunday Night Youth or Sunday Morning Youth.
Make Student Leadership Team meetings a priority. Since SLT only meets once per month, we are asking team members to make it an absolute priority to attend every meeting. In the event that students miss two or more meetings in a row, the staff will ask those students to take a step back from SLT and encourage them to re-join in a season when they are less busy.
One Team With Many Ministry Projects
Each member of the Student Leadership Team will self assign themselves to a smaller ministry project(s). These projects are areas that they feel best fit their leadership skills and spiritual gifts. List below are some of the Ministry Projects for 2020-2021. Team members can be on one or more projects and can move from one project to another throughout the year. See the list below.
